In 2006 Katja Falinski decided that she wanted to create a unique hair and beauty experience for women that gave them inner as well as outer confidence and because of that the Beauty Rose Salon in Marylebone was born. TreatNOW caught up with Katja to find out about the day-to-day running of the salon and more about the inspiration behind her vision for the establishment.
How did Beauty Rose begin? What inspired this career choice for you?
Beauty Rose started after I had just moved to London in 2006 and it started out as a very small business concept. As all of my training is grounded in European techniques, as I trained in one of the best salons in Milan, I wanted to bring this to a London setting and combine it with some tech knowledge to create top treatments. What started as just beauty has now grown to the hair sector and so we can offer people a one-stop-shop. Despite this the original European and International influence still remains strong in the salon because we have stylists from all over the world.
What does an average day look like working at Beauty Rose?
We spend a great deal of my time doing skin treatments, laser treatments in particular as well as Green Peels. In general the hair salon sees a lot of colouring treatments, although we steer clear of using bleach on the hair as it is damaging and highlighting gives a much more natural look.
How do you make your service special for each client?
Customisation is the important thing for us. We give a consultation and guide the clients from the beginning to the end results. Also, the salon feels very personal as it is not crowded so it’s more of a tranquil place to have treatments done.
In your opinion, what is the selling point of your brand? What makes you different from other salons?
I have already spoken about this a little but we offer people a one-stop-shop for hair and beauty treatments. Our specialism in different types of skin treatments also plays a big part in this.
How do you make sure that your customers find you?
There are a number of ways that people find us and stay in touch, the main thing is word of mouth and then we have a loyalty card system for when they do become internal customers. We also run events, like one that we have coming up on 9th July, where we display new treatments and show people what we can offer.
TreatNOW is recruiting a range of health therapists, stylists and beauticians for a Spring launch. Get in touch to find out more.
