How did RYS Hair and Beauty begin?
RYS Hair and Beauty’s founding members Reshma and Yilmaz established this business in November 2013 after seeing a gap in the industry for quality of professional hair and beauty services and customer care.
What is your most popular treatment at the moment? Can you see any hair trends emerging for the summer in your salon?
RYS’s bespoke hair mask treatments using the revolutionary spa mist technology have proven to be very popular with clients.
Summer is a season when everyone wants to indulge in a colour change and a fresh haircut. Balyage and Ombre colour techniques are a definite trend winner for the summer.
What would you say is the most important thing that keeps RYS hair and beauty successful?
Team effort, training and dedication from the entire workforce is the key to any successful business.
How do you make your service special for each client?
Each client at RYS, whether a regular or first time visitor receives the same care and attention and mandatory introductory consultation.
In your opinion, what is the selling point of your brand? What makes you different from other hair and beauty salons?
We strongly believe in listening to each client’s requirement and endeavour to fulfil their satisfaction in the service given by our team of professional stylists, manicurists and beautician. Having a one stop shop salon where we also offer a concierge, driven chauffeur service, personal stylist / wardrobe specialist and a medi spa for non-invasive medical facials and body treatments.
How do you make sure that your customers find you?
We really care about our digital presence. Our website is very easy accessible and we’re active via the social media tools. We have partnered with various online booking platforms, including creating a mobile app with integrated online booking system. Digital and local advertising are also part of our strategy.
What does the future hold for RYS Hair and Beauty?
‘Sky is the limit’! RYS plan to expand its wings to other locations in UK and overseas, and open a hair and beauty training institute.
If a new business/salon was setting up, what’s the best piece of advice you could give them?
Firstly having a full understanding of running a hair salon is vital. A sound and realistic business plan, keeping the contractors and building costs to a minimum and covering your daily cost per space occupied by your team of stylists. Your team of stylists and manicurists have to be ready and fully support your new venture as they will bring your additional clients.
In your opinion what is the hottest treatment out in the beauty and hair industry right now?
