Advent blog day 14: Reflexology and Integrated Health with Expert Louise Exeter

Today’s expert has been nominated by Jo Tocher, another wonderful holistic therapist we met last week. Jo says “The reason I have chosen Louise for this is because, as a busy Holistic Therapist, I also need to walk my talk and take time out for me to de-stress.  My chosen therapy is 3 weekly hourly sessions in Chi-Reflexology on my feet and often I have Facial Reflexology.

I leave feeling re-booted and re-generated and ready to face my day having had my energy directed where it needs to go.  Louise has a healing touch and a very in-depth knowledge of how Chi works in relation to the body.  Louise has a wonderful empathetic energy and approach where you feel you’re in total safe hands.”

1. Why did you become a Reflexologist and Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T.) Practitioner?
Chi-Reflexology & Facial Reflexology – I am fascinated by reading the body and that if your press reflexes and acupressure points in one location, there is a knock-on effect in another, relevant, body location.

E.F.T. – Nurture your thoughts. Nurture your Body! I am very interested in the power of the mind – the effect it can have over our emotions, bodies and wellbeing.

2. Why or when did you decide to be a sole trader or company?
I decided to be a sole trader when I had my children in the 1980’s. For me, being a sole trader provides flexibility and a more creative business framework to work in.

image3. What makes your service special?
Emotional & Physical Rescue! Reading the ebb & flow of subtle-energy mind-body reflections to encourage physical and emotional release, allows me to blend treatment protocols and tailor each treatment to a client’s differing needs at any one time.
A great ‘tool kit’! My work is informed by the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine Philosophy and influenced by modern experts in their fields from around the world; all wrapped up with counselling skills and over 20 years experience.

4. Did you or your company prepare a Christmas marketing campaign and what did you do?
I offered Christmas Vouchers to current clients.

5. What’s your preferred ways of communicating with clients:
I prefer to speak directly to clients either in person or by phone. If this isn’t possible I use email and text.

6. What’s your biggest challenge in 2015?
To become more integrated with social media possibilities.

image7. What’s your hidden talent?
I’m kept on my toes by rock and roll, Lindy Hop dancing and the 1930’s – 1950’s vintage fashion scene. It’s great dressing up to dance and I even live in a 1930’s Art Deco home!

8. What’s your proudest business achievement in 2014
Adding The AMT’s Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T.) & Positive E.F.T. Practitioner Certificates and Hay House/Doreen Virtue’s Angel Intuitive qualifications to my repertoire.

9. Tell us an amusing anecdote …

I was passing the time by doing some Reflexology ‘foot reading’ on a train journey only to discover that the ‘female’ feet I was studying were actually a man’s inadvertently masquerading as a woman’s! To find out more please see my blog
‘If the Shoe Fits.’

image10. What’s your favourite piece of business advice to pass on?
That if you love what you do, it will take you places you never dreamt of.
To let fun in and don’t limit yourself!
